Samaritan’s Feet

img_3719During my visit to Brazil, I got a chance to work with Samaritan’s Feet. With the help of a local church, we distributed shoes to children in some of the rural areas in Curitiba, Brazil. The organization’s mission is to inspire hope in children through the gift of shoes, the act of washing feet, and encouragement to those who need it most.  It was such a privilege to be able to work with this organization. The team in Brasil was great and the children that we met were nothing short of inspirational. I know we were there to inspire them, but I think they inspired us more than we inspired them. They didn’t have much. For some, these would be the first brand new pair of shoes they ever have. Yet, they were some of the happiest children I have ever met. It was a privilege to meet these children and gift them a pair of shoes. A big thank you to Samaritan’s Feet for giving us this opportunity and for all the work that they are doing to help make this world a better place. Check out their website below if you would like more information on how to volunteer for a project.
